A brand new kitchen, and an addition for a 1923 home
June 21, 2024
Our clients were looking to add some space to the rear of their West Hartford home, and rework their kitchen as well.
As you can see, the kitchen underwent some pretty significant alterations. Some of the highlights: our client ordered a fully custom copper hood, and we built the statement shelves on the far end by hand.
Off the kitchen, we extended the home to accommodate a laundry room, bathroom, and home office.
One of the most unique aspects of this project was working with the home's original doors, which had been stored in the basement for years.
Another fun aspect of the renovation was matching the home's original ornate trim. Each door and window got their own hand-built trim to match the rest of the 1920's home. We also ensured the picture-rail crown molding, and unique, tall baseboards were an exact match.
Reaching the end of this project, we are so proud of the work. It allowed every member of our team to show off their skills and craftsmanship, and we are grateful for our wonderful clients who trusted us with their home.
Finishing this project was incredibly rewarding. Check out the video below to hear about the process from our clients perspective, and click the button to see a short video of the transformation!
