Take a tour of our recent master bath masterpiece
July 12, 2024
We're showing off all the details on our recent master bath masterpiece (that is a mouthful, isn't it?) What was a dated mixture of awkward early 2000's trends is now an airy oasis with nods to 1920's decadence. Let us take you on a tour!
Nestled in west Simsbury, this bathroom's original layout boasted soaring ceilings, a wooded pastoral view, and a sprawling floor plan. However, the style was dated and under-utilized the space's potential.
The renovation aimed to elevate the space and make the most of its potential. It was an exiting project and we were excited to take on the work!
Opting for a single vanity unit rather than two individual vanities immediately allowed the room to breathe, and made better sense of the floor plan. Retaining double sinks ensured our clients would still have efficient use of the space.
With a mixture of large granite slabs, classic subway tiles, and a splash of color in the round accent tiles - this bathroom's shower is a show-stopper all by itself. Take a peak at the project video to see how this shower takes full advantage of the vaulted ceilings, as well.
Two other choices that lended elegance and additional space were: choosing a statement free-standing tub, where the Jacuzzi once was, and getting rid of the awkward closet. Our clients opted instead for a privacy wall, and brought in a beautiful antique armoire for bathroom storage.
We couldn't be more proud of the way this project turned out. Want to see more? Click the button to see a short video of the transformation!
